I'm going for the first time on Saturday.

Where's the least shit place to get a ticket?

Who's Russ?

ornchurch ammer 6:53 Thu Dec 15
Re: 'Real' fans
Russ - is singing "Stick the Blue Flag Up a Your Arse" or "10 Men Couldn't Carry Lampard" supporting West Ham when sung week after week and we are not playing Chelsea?

Still, whatever makes you happy with your atmosphere.

Re: 'Real' fans
Stomper - The ground being completely unfit for football and the board's aggressive approach to manage out fans that don't conform to their view of what a fan should be like cannot in any way be put down to teething problems.

Lights not working, toilets flooding, turnstiles breaking, folk getting lost are all teething problems.

What is happening at the ground is fundamental and has killed the club as a lot of us knew it. That is not being over dramatic, that is what has happened.

Re: 'Real' fans
As someone marooned on the other side of the Atlantic, I cant believe the ground is anything like as bad as some of you make out.
Surely its all teething troubles?

Johnson 6:18 Thu Dec 15
Re: 'Real' fans
Why do people lie about Upton Park and what was sung there.

In the BML AND Chav Corner, there was always songs about other London clubs and things that had happened between us.

I suppose you would have actually had to attend Upton Park during that time, rather than make up what it was like even though you weren't there.

Snide is mentally ill though so it's no surprise.

Oh come on now Side. It isn't 3 years ago when you owned up to not having been for 8 seasons! And Johnson was pulling your plonker over the half season ticket you got for Christmas last year...

3rd season BACK as a ST holder Willtell, but you never remembered the Lyall era even though you apparently went.

Re: 'Real' fans
How the club didn't think of certain 'areas' for existing "customers" in the new gaff is mind boggling. This, buy a ticket and bring two mates isn't that, is it. They've pilled in "customers" not thinking about any further implications. The migration has been horrendous. However, the shithole is big enough for certain "customers" to fit/sit where is comfortable for them. Will take until the summer, maybe a couple of seasons knowing how this lot have no idea but we've now somehow got to get on with the shit cards these cunts have given us.

Is that why you hardly ever go to games in spite of living near the stadium then...?

Re: 'Real' fans
West Ham's been going shit every season since the PL started and Sky Sports made us available to all and sundry to milk down the support.

Never hear localised songs about run in's with local rivals in the stands just generic songs. Bubbles for me has become far too prominent and used to be the icing on the cake for other popular songs being reeled out.

Re: 'Real' fans
Who'd have thought that out of 50k+ fans some enjoy standing and singing whilst others enjoy sitting and watching the game quietly... shocking that, people being different (and let's be fair, neither is really a measure of your passion for the club or how much of a real fan you are are they?)

On many occasions I've experienced a similar atmosphere to last night at UP - yet some on here would have you believed it NEVER happened and the place was rocking all the time.

If I'd have let under achieving squads / managers or crap atmospheres affect me as much as it seems affect some on here I'd have packed it in long ago.

Along with many 'real' fans whatever that means.

There was a marked improvement when you stopped going bruuuuuno. It ties in with your "everybody I know is unhappy" thread.

Re: 'Real' fans
Funny cos I stopped going to home games years ago because the atmosphere was so shit. Yet people are surprised it's still shit at the OS

They've been looking at us for a while, now they've had a pop at 114 I reckon we will be next.

Oh the irony of using the term KNOW "nothing cunts" and spelling it wrong.

Chinkey Weasel 3:45 Thu Dec 15
Re: 'Real' fans
I sit by the exit of 134 & in the 2nd half yesterday they had stewards spying on the standers in blocks 131/130. They were making notes & working out exactly the rows and seat numbers of the offenders. Spying from distance for a good 5 minutes working it all out

Johnson 3:37 Thu Dec 15
Re: 'Real' fans
People like no atmosphere and sitting politely, it's why they never bothered going to UP or only went in the West Upper.

THEY'VE now got the atmosphere they have always wanted.

boltkunt 3:33 Thu Dec 15
Re: 'Real' fans
Shit, no atmosphere and a bunch of no nothing cunts standing around them?

Why would ANYONE want that, son, SON?
